As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Caney Valley Public School Board of Education of Independent School District No. 18, Washington County, Oklahoma, will hold a REGULAR meeting on May 1, 2023 at 6:30 o’clock p.m., at the Administration Building, in the Caney Valley Board Room, Ramona Campus, 620 Wyandotte Avenue, Ramona, Oklahoma.

4. Caney Valley Students receiving credit, upon 

    successful completion of the course, for academic 

    courses taught at the Career and Technology Center 

    through daily attendance or online classes for the 

    2023-2024 school Year.

 

5. Appoint Jacque Canady, with OCIC, Caney Valley Public

    Schools 2023-2024 Title IX authorized representative.

 

6. Authorize the superintendent the authority to declare

    proposed items with a value of less than $1,000 surplus 

    and determine the method of disposal. 

 

8.    Tri County Tech Transportation Contract

 

8.A Board to consider and take possible action to approve

the transportation contract with Tri County Tech for the

2023-2024 school year.

 

9. Ground Lease with the United States Postal Service

 

9.A Board to consider and take possible action regarding the

      Ground Lease with the United States Postal Service as

      presented. 

 

10. Caney Valley Board Policy

 

10.A Board to consider and take possible action to amend policy 

       FE- Student Transfers as presented. 

 

11. 2023-2024 Certified Employee Personnel

 

11.A Proposed Executive Session per 25 O.S. 307

12.     Summer Employment

 

12.A Board to consider and take possible action regarding 

the following summer employment;

 

  1. Taylor Brinker to teach 2023 Summer Drivers’ Education (2 semester)

  2. Michael Bonner temporary summer custodian at the Ramona Campus

  3. Taylor Brinker temporary summer custodian at the Ochelata Campus

  4. Catrice Davis temporary technology assistant districtwide

  5. Charles Kerber temporary summer SLAM bus driver

  6. Gary Fiddler temporary summer SLAM bus driver

  

12.B Board to consider and take possible action regarding

the Caney Valley Athletic Coaches using the school

vehicle for summer activities, student Transportation.

 

13. Post-Issuance Tax Compliance Procedures for Tax-Exempt

Bonds

 

13. A Board to consider and take possible action regarding the 

 Post-Issuance Tax Compliance Procedures for Tax-Exempt

 Bonds as presented. 

 

14. Surplus

 

14.A Board to consider and take possible action to declare

surplus one (1) elementary server, one (1) elementary 

printer, two (2) high school servers, thirteen (13) high

school ipads, six (6) chromebooks, and one (1) 

switch and authorize the superintendent to determine the 

method of disposal. 

 

15.  Caney Valley Summer SLAM 

 

15.A Consideration of and possible action to approve Summer

SLAM operational dates as follows; May 30st through

June 23th, 2023.

 

16.   Affidavit of Identity

 

16.A Board to consider and take possible action regarding the

affidavit of identity as presented. 

 

17. Resignation Acknowledgment

 

        17.A Board to recognize the following resignations;

 

  1. Summer Routh as elementary certified employee effective May 25, 2023

  2. Shelsea Staton as elementary certified employee effective May 25, 2023

 

18. New Business of the Board
